REAR AXLE HUB BOLT REPLACEMENT

  • Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.

  • The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL LH

  2. DISCONNECT REAR DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY LH

  3. REMOVE REAR DISC LH

  4. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SHOE RETURN TENSION SPRING LH

    Click here

  5. REMOVE NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE SHOE ASSEMBLY LH

  6. REMOVE NO. 2 PARKING BRAKE SHOE ASSEMBLY LH

  7. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SHOE LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

  8. REMOVE REAR AXLE HUB BOLT LH


    1. A01WR8ZE02
      *1 Turn
      *2 Hold

      Using SST and a screwdriver or equivalent to hold the axle hub, remove the hub bolt.

      SST
      09650-17011

      Note


      • Do not deform the oil deflector.

      • Make sure to align the notch of SST with the flange of the oil deflector.

  9. INSTALL REAR AXLE HUB BOLT LH


    1. A01WT33E02
      *1 Washer
      *2 Turn
      *3 Nut
      *4 Hold

      Temporarily install a washer and hub nut to a new hub bolt as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Install a hub nut to prevent damage to the hub bolt.

    2. Using a screwdriver or equivalent to hold the hub, turn the hub nut until the bottom surface of the hub bolt head touches the axle hub.

    3. Remove the washer and hub nut.

      Note

      Do not damage the threads of the hub bolt.

  10. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE SHOE LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

  11. INSTALL NO. 2 PARKING BRAKE SHOE ASSEMBLY LH

  12. INSTALL NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE SHOE ASSEMBLY LH

    Click here

  13. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE SHOE RETURN TENSION SPRING LH

  14. CHECK PARKING BRAKE INSTALLATION

    Click here

  15. INSTALL REAR DISC LH

    Click here

  16. CONNECT REAR DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY LH

  17. ADJUST PARKING BRAKE SHOE CLEARANCE

    Click here

  18. INSTALL REAR WHEEL LH

    Torque:
    131 N*m  { 1336 kgf*cm, 97 ft.*lbf }
