  1. When switching between free and lock or during switching operation (center differential lock shift motor operating) with engine switch turned on (IG)

  2. Open circuit in the center differential lock shift motor drive circuit

  3. 0.03 seconds or more

  4. 1 trip detection logic

  • 4 wheel drive control ECU

  • Transfer shift actuator assembly

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (4 WHEEL DRIVE CONTROL ECU - TRANSFERSHIFT ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the A28 4 wheel drive control ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the C43 transfer shift actuator assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A28-8 (TM1) - C43-1 (TM1) Always Below 1 Ω
      A28-7 (TM2) - C43-2 (TM2) Always Below 1 Ω

  2. INSPECT TRANSFER SHIFT ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY (CENTER DIFFERENTIAL LOCK SHIFT MOTOR)

    1. Disconnect the C43 transfer shift actuator assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
