OIL PUMP REASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL FRONT OIL PUMP OIL SEAL

    1. Using SST and a hammer, tap in a new front oil pump oil seal.

      SST
      09950-60010   ( 09951-00650 )
      09950-70010   ( 09951-07100 )

      Tech Tips

      The front oil pump oil seal end should be flush with the outer edge of the front oil pump body sub-assembly.

    2. Coat the lip of the front oil pump oil seal with MP grease.

  2. SECURE FRONT OIL PUMP BODY SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Place the front oil pump body sub-assembly on the torque converter clutch assembly.

  3. INSTALL FRONT OIL PUMP DRIVEN GEAR

    A01WWLP

    1. Coat the front oil pump driven gear with ATF.

    2. Install the front oil pump driven gear to the front oil pump body sub-assembly.

  4. INSTALL FRONT OIL PUMP DRIVE GEAR


    1. A01WTH6

      Coat the front oil pump drive gear with ATF.

    2. Install the front oil pump drive gear to the front oil pump body sub-assembly.

  5. INSTALL FRONT OIL PUMP BODY O-RING

      Coat a new front oil pump body O-ring with ATF and install it to the front oil pump body sub-assembly.

  6. INSTALL STATOR SHAFT ASSEMBLY

      Align the stator shaft assembly with the bolt holes.

    2. Install the 17 bolts.

      Torque:
      11 N*m  { 112 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf }

  7. INSTALL CLUTCH DRUM OIL SEAL RING


    1. Coat 3 new clutch drum oil seal rings with ATF.

      *1 Clutch Drum Oil Seal Ring

      Squeeze the ends of the 3 clutch drum oil seal rings together so that the overlap distance is 8 mm (0.314 in.) or less, and then install them to the starter shaft assembly groove.

      Note

      Do not excessively widen the clutch drum oil seal rings.

      Tech Tips

      After installing the clutch drum oil seal rings, check that they rotate smoothly.

  9. INSTALL AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION CASE O-RING

      Coat a new automatic transmission case O-ring with ATF and install it to the oil pump assembly.
