OIL PUMP DISASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE

1. REMOVE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION CASE O-RING

   
   

   1. 

      Remove the automatic transmission case O-ring from the oil pump assembly.

2. FIX OIL PUMP ASSEMBLY

      *1	Torque Converter Clutch Assembly

      Place the oil pump assembly body on the torque converter clutch assembly.

3. REMOVE CLUTCH DRUM OIL SEAL RING

   
   

   1. 

      Remove the 3 clutch drum oil seal rings.

4. REMOVE STATOR SHAFT ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. 

      Remove the 17 bolts, and then remove the stator shaft assembly from the front oil pump body sub-assembly.

5. REMOVE FRONT OIL PUMP BODY O-RING

   
   

   1. 

      Remove the front oil pump body O-ring from the front oil pump body sub-assembly.

   2. Remove the front oil pump body sub-assembly from the torque converter clutch assembly.

6. INSPECT FRONT OIL PUMP BODY SUB-ASSEMBLY

7. INSPECT STATOR SHAFT ASSEMBLY

8. INSPECT OIL PUMP ASSEMBLY CLEARANCE

   Click here

9. REMOVE FRONT OIL PUMP DRIVE GEAR

   

10. REMOVE FRONT OIL PUMP DRIVEN GEAR

    

11. REMOVE FRONT OIL PUMP OIL SEAL

       *a	Protective Tape

       Using a screwdriver, pry out the front oil pump oil seal.

       Note

       Be careful not to damage the front oil pump body sub-assembly.

       Tech Tips

       Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
