PARK / NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (w/ DPF)

  2. REMOVE NO. 3 FRONT FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR


    1. A01WRAA

      Remove the 4 nuts and No. 3 front floor heat insulator.

  3. DISCONNECT FLOOR SHIFT GEAR SHIFTING ROD SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Move the shift lever to N.

      Remove the clip and pin, and disconnect the floor shift gear shifting rod sub-assembly from the transmission control shaft lever RH.

  4. REMOVE PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Disconnect the park/neutral position switch assembly connector.

    2. A01WWP2

      Remove the nut, spring washer and transmission control shaft lever RH from the manual valve lever shaft.

    3. Remove the collar and transmission control rod bush from the transmission control shaft lever RH.

      *1 Lock Washer
      *2 Lock Nut

      Using a screwdriver, bend back the tabs of the lock washer.

    5. Remove the lock nut and lock washer from the park/neutral position switch assembly.

      Remove the bolt and park/neutral position switch assembly from the automatic transmission assembly.

      Tech Tips

      Make sure that the manual valve lever shaft has not been rotated prior to installing the park/neutral position switch assembly as the detent spring may become detached from the manual valve lever shaft.
