DYNAMIC RADAR CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM Cruise SET Indicator Light Circuit

DESCRIPTION

• The ECM turns on the cruise control SET indicator by sending indicator output demand signals to the combination meter assembly using CAN communication.

• The cruise control SET indicator illuminates when the cruise control system is controlling vehicle speed.

• The cruise control SET indicator circuit uses CAN communication. If the cruise control SET indicator is not functioning correctly, check for CAN communication system before troubleshooting this circuit.

PROCEDURE

1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (INDICAT. SET)

   
   

   1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

   2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

   3. Turn the GTS on.

   4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Active Test.

   5. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the GTS.

2. READ VALUE USING GTS (-SET SWITCH)

   
   

   1. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Radar Cruise1 / Data List.

   2. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

      Result Proceed to The cruise control SET indicator illuminates and turns off according to the operation of the cruise control main switch (-/SET switch). A The cruise control SET indicator does not illuminate but the Data List item -SET Switch changes according to the operation of the cruise control main switch (-/SET switch). B The cruise control SET indicator does not illuminate and the Data List item -SET Switch does not change according to the operation of the cruise control main switch (-/SET switch) (for 3UR-FE). C The cruise control SET indicator does not illuminate and the Data List item -SET Switch does not change according to the operation of the cruise control main switch (-/SET switch) (for 1VD-FTV).
