DYNAMIC RADAR CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM Cruise Main Indicator Light Circuit

DESCRIPTION

• The ECM turns on the cruise control indicator by sending indicator output demand signals to the combination meter assembly using CAN communication.

• The cruise control indicator illuminates when the cruise control system has been turned on using the ON/OFF button. If a malfunction is detected, the cruise control indicator goes out and a warning message is displayed.

• The cruise control indicator circuit uses CAN communication. If the cruise control indicator is not functioning correctly, check for CAN communication system before troubleshooting this circuit.

PROCEDURE

1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (INDICAT. LAMP CRUISE AND RADAR CRUISE INDICATOR)

   
   

   1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

   2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

   3. Turn the GTS on.

   4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Active Test.

   5. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the GTS.

2. READ VALUE USING GTS (CRUISE INDICATOR)

   
   

   1. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Radar Cruise1 / Data List.

   2. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

B The cruise control indicator does not illuminate and the Data List item Cruise Indicator does not change according to the operation of the cruise control main switch (ON/OFF) (for 3UR-FE). C The cruise control indicator does not illuminate and the Data List item Cruise Indicator does not change according to the operation of the cruise control main switch (ON/OFF) (for 1VD-FTV).
