WATER PUMP REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  2. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL

    Click here

  3. REMOVE FRONT FENDER SPLASH SHIELD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

    Click here

  4. REMOVE FRONT FENDER SPLASH SHIELD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

    Click here

  5. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  6. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

    Click here

  7. REMOVE AIR CLEANER HOSE ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  8. REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  9. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE

  10. REMOVE NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE

  11. REMOVE FAN SHROUD

    Click here

  12. REMOVE NO. 1 WATER BY-PASS HOSE

    Click here

  13. DISCONNECT NO. 2 WATER BY-PASS PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Oil Cooler)

    1. Disconnect the No. 6 water by-pass hose.

    2. Remove the 3 bolts.

    3. Disconnect the water by-pass pipe with water hose.

  14. REMOVE WATER INLET HOUSING


    1. B001A9VE03
      *1 No. 3 Air Hose
      *2 No. 2 Air Hose

      w/ Secondary Air Injection System:


      1. Disconnect the No. 2 and No. 3 air hoses.

      2. Disconnect the air pump connector.

      3. Disconnect the air pump connector clamp holder.

      4. Using a clip remover, detach the wire harness clamp.

      *1 No. 5 Water By-pass Hose

      Disconnect the No. 5 water by-pass hose.

    3. w/ Secondary Air Injection System:

      Remove the air tube bracket bolt.

      *1 No. 3 Water By-pass Hose

      Disconnect the No. 3 water by-pass hose and remove the 3 bolts and water inlet housing.

    5. Remove the gasket from the water pump.

  15. REMOVE WATER PUMP PULLEY


    1. B001B2YE01

      Using SST, hold the water pump pulley.

      SST
      09960-10010   ( 09962-01000, 09963-01000 )

    2. Remove the 4 bolts and water pump pulley.

  16. REMOVE ENGINE WATER PUMP ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 8 bolts, engine water pump assembly and gasket.
