EXHAUST MANIFOLD REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL

  2. REMOVE FRONT FENDER SPLASH SHIELD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

    Click here

  3. REMOVE FRONT FENDER SPLASH SHIELD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

    Click here

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 10 bolts and No. 1 engine under cover.

  5. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER

      Remove the 2 bolts and No. 2 engine under cover.

  6. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON TRIM PACKING A

      Using a clip remover, remove the 3 clips and front fender apron trim packing.

  7. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON TRIM PACKING C

      Using a clip remover, remove the 4 clips and front fender apron trim packing.

  8. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON TRIM PACKING B

      Using a clip remover, remove the 4 clips and front fender apron trim packing.

  9. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON TRIM PACKING D

      Using a clip remover, remove the 4 clips and front fender apron trim packing.

  10. REMOVE ENGINE OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK GUIDE

      Remove the dipstick.

    2. Remove the bolt and dipstick guide.

    3. Remove the O-ring from the dipstick guide.

  11. REMOVE TAILPIPE ASSEMBLY

  12. REMOVE CENTER EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  13. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  14. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  15. REMOVE PROPELLER SHAFT HEAT INSULATOR

      Remove the 2 bolts and heat insulator.

  16. REMOVE NO. 2 MANIFOLD STAY

      Remove the 3 bolts and manifold stay.

  17. REMOVE NO. 2 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR

      Remove the 3 bolts and heat insulator.

  18. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. B001AQ9

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Using a clip remover, detach the wire harness clamp.

    3. B0018KP

      w/ Secondary Air Injection System:

      Remove the 10 nuts, exhaust manifold and 2 gaskets.

    4. B00193M

      w/o Secondary Air Injection System:

      Remove the 8 nuts, exhaust manifold and gasket.

  19. REMOVE NO. 1 MANIFOLD STAY

      Remove the 3 bolts and manifold stay.

  20. REMOVE NO. 1 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR


    1. B0018XF

      Remove the 3 bolts and heat insulator.

  21. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH


    1. B00185U

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Using a clip remover, detach the wire harness clamp.

      w/ Secondary Air Injection System:

      Remove the 10 nuts, exhaust manifold and 2 gaskets.

    4. B0019TD

      w/o Secondary Air Injection System:

      Remove the 8 nuts, exhaust manifold and gasket.

  22. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Bank 1 Sensor 1)
