ACCELERATOR PEDAL ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT ACCELERATOR PEDAL SENSOR ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

   2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

   3. Turn the GTS on.

   4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT/ Data List / Primary / Accel Sens. No.1 Volt % and Accel Sens. No.2 Volt %.

   5. Read the value displayed on the tester.

      Standard Value
      Tester Display Condition Specified Condition Accel Sens. No.1 Volt % Released 10 to 22% Depressed 52 to 90% Accel Sens. No.2 Volt % Released 24 to 40% Depressed 68 to 99%

      If the result is not as specified, check the accelerator pedal sensor assembly, wire harness or ECM.
