REAR BUMPER(w/ Pintle Hook) REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE PINTLE HOOK ASSEMBLY

      *1 Pintle Hook Bracket
      *2 Eyelet Pintle Hook

      For vehicles with a spare tire installed to the underbody, remove the spare tire.

    2. Remove the 4 nuts.

    3. Remove the 2 bolts, 2 eyelet pintle hooks, pintle hook assembly and pintle hook bracket.

  4. REMOVE REAR BUMPER NO. 1 PLATE (for Step)

      *a Protective Tape

      Put protective tape around the rear bumper No. 1 plate.

    2. A01WWTZ

      Detach the 20 claws and remove the rear bumper No. 1 plate.

  5. REMOVE REAR BUMPER COVER

      Open the tail gate and remove the 3 clips.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the other side.

    2. Close the tail gate.

      Remove the 5 bolts.

      Remove the 2 bolts, 6 screws and 2 clips.

      *a Protective Tape

      Put protective tape around the rear bumper cover.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the other side.

    6. Close the tail gate.

      Detach the 9 claws.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure to detach the claw on the other side.

      Detach the 2 guides and remove the rear bumper cover.

    9. Disconnect the No. 2 frame wire connector.

  6. REMOVE NO. 2 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT SIDE COVER PROTECTOR


    1. A01WS8X

      Remove the 2 screws, 2 grommets and No. 2 luggage compartment side cover protector.

  7. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT SIDE COVER PROTECTOR

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the No. 2 luggage compartment side cover protector.

  8. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT LH


    1. A01WT8Q

      Remove the 3 screws.

    2. Detach the 3 claws and remove the rear bumper side support LH.

  9. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  10. REMOVE REAR BUMPER NO. 2 REINFORCEMENT


    1. A01WQ4X

      Remove the 2 bolts and rear bumper No. 2 reinforcement.

  11. REMOVE REAR BUMPER ARM BRACKET

      Remove the bolt and rear bumper arm bracket.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for both rear bumper arm brackets.

  12. REMOVE REAR BUMPER ARM BRACKET LH


    1. A01WVCI

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Detach the clamp.

    3. Remove the 2 bolts and rear bumper arm bracket LH.
