REAR SPOILER INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL REAR SPOILER SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Tech Tips

    When installing the rear spoiler sub-assembly, heat the vehicle body and rear spoiler sub-assembly using a heat light.

    Standard
    Item Temperature
    Vehicle Body 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
    Rear Spoiler Sub-assembly 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

    Note

    Do not heat the vehicle body and rear spoiler sub-assembly excessively.


    1. Clean the vehicle body surface.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body surface

      2. Remove the double-sided tape from the vehicle body.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

    2. Install a new rear spoiler sub-assembly.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body and a new rear spoiler sub-assembly.

      2. Remove the peeling paper from the face of the rear spoiler sub-assembly.

        Tech Tips

        After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

      3. Attach the 3 clips to install the rear spoiler sub-assembly.

        Tech Tips

        Press the rear spoiler sub-assembly firmly to install it.

    3. w/ Power Back Door:

      Install the 4 bolts and 2 hole plugs.

      Torque:
      7.9 N*m  { 81 kgf*cm, 70 in.*lbf }
    4. w/o Power Back Door:

      Install the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      7.9 N*m  { 81 kgf*cm, 70 in.*lbf }
  2. INSTALL BACK DOOR GLASS CHANNEL LH (w/o Power Back Door)


    1. Attach the clip and install the back door glass channel LH.

  3. INSTALL BACK DOOR GLASS CHANNEL RH (w/o Power Back Door)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
