LICENSE PLATE LIGHT ASSEMBLY REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE BACK DOOR OUTSIDE GARNISH SUB-ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE BACK DOOR GARNISH RETAINER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A01WV26

      Using a T30H "TORX" driver, remove the 2 "TORX" screws.

    2. Pull the back door garnish retainer sub-assembly toward the rear of the vehicle to detach the 2 clips to remove it.

    3. A01WRO7

      Disconnect the connector.

  3. REMOVE LICENSE PLATE LIGHT ASSEMBLY


    1. A01WQBK

      Remove the 7 screws and remove the No. 1 back door garnish retainer.

    2. Disconnect the license plate light:

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure to disconnect the license plate light on the other side.


      1. A01WPUL

        Remove the screw.

      2. A01WSWV

        Raise the license plate light upward to disconnect it from the No. 1 back door garnish retainer.

    3. A01WVSH

      Detach the 3 wire harness clamps.

    4. A01WUGK

      Detach the claw and disconnect the connector.

    5. A01WS9I

      Disconnect the grommet to remove the license plate light assembly.
