DESCRIPTION

The headlight unit (headlight leveling motor) receives a signal from the headlight ECU sub-assembly to operate. The headlight ECU sub-assembly receives a signal indicating the operating conditions of the headlight unit (headlight leveling motor).

  3. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (LEVELING MOTOR)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / AFS / Active Test.

    5. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the GTS.

    1. Remove the headlight unit LH Click here.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      B-7 - O-1 Always Below 1 Ω
      B-17 - O-2 Always Below 1 Ω

  5. CHECK HEADLIGHT UNIT LH (HEADLIGHT LEVELING MOTOR)


    1. Temporarily replace the headlight unit LH with a new or normally functioning one.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    4. Recheck for DTCs Click here.

      OK
      DTC B2417 output does not occur

    OK

  6. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (LEVELING MOTOR)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / AFS / Active Test.

    5. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the GTS.
