DESCRIPTION

This DTC is output when the headlight ECU sub-assembly receives a high beam output malfunction signal from the headlight unit. The headlight ECU sub-assembly LH outputs DTCs B243B and B243C.

  1. CLEAR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.

  2. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    2. Operate the light control switch to turn on the high beam headlights.

    3. Check for DTCs Click here.

      OK
      DTC B243B and B243C are not output.

    1. Remove the headlight assembly LH Click here.

    2. Remove the headlight unit LH from the headlight assembly LH Click here.

      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        C-8 - H-1 Always Below 1 Ω
        H-2 - I-1 Always Below 1 Ω
        I-2 - J-1 Always Below 1 Ω
        C-7 - J-2 Always Below 1 Ω

    4. w/ Adaptive High Beam System


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
