This DTC is stored when foreign matter may be adhering to the windshield or forward recognition camera and front field of vision is blocked.

Note


  • When replacing the forward recognition camera, make sure to replace it with a new one. If a device which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the forward recognition camera will not match the information from the vehicle and, as a result, a DTC may be stored.

  • When the forward recognition camera is replaced, always perform beam axis adjustment for the forward recognition camera Click here.

  • If the headlight ECU sub-assembly LH has been replaced, it is necessary to synchronize the vehicle information Click here.

  1. CLEAR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.

  2. FORWARD RECOGNITION CAMERA (CHECK CONDITION)


    1. Check that the windshield and forward recognition camera (lens) are not dirty or covered by an object.

      OK
      Windshield and forward recognition camera (lens) not dirty or covered by object.

    NG

    END (DIRT OR OBJECT REMOVED)

    OK

  3. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    2. Check for DTCs Click here.

      OK
      DTC B2438 is not output.

  4. REPLACE FORWARD RECOGNITION CAMERA


    1. Replace the forward recognition camera with a new one Click here.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    4. Perform beam axis adjustment for the forward recognition camera Click here.

    5. Check for DTCs Click here.

      OK
      DTC B2438 is not output.

    OK
