DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the combination meter detects a fuel sender gauge malfunction.

Both conditions are met:


  • IG voltage is 10.5 V or higher.

  • Fuel sender gauge operation malfunction.


  • Fuel sender gauge assembly

  • No. 2 fuel sender gauge assembly

  • Fuel suction plate sub-assembly

  • Fuel tank vent tube assembly

  • Harness or connector

  • Combination meter assembly

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (FUEL INPUT)


    1. Operate the GTS according to the display and select the Data List Click here.

      Fuel amount value displayed on the GTS is almost the same as needle indication.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - FUEL SUCTION PLATE SUB-ASSEMBLY, FUEL TANK VENT TUBE ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the N40 combination meter assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the U61 fuel suction plate sub-assembly connector.

    3. Disconnect the T16 fuel tank vent tube assembly connector.

    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N40-27 (FR) - U61-2 Always Below 1 Ω
      N40-28 (FE) - T16-3
      U61-3 - T16-2
      N40-31 (ES) - Body ground
      N40-27 (FR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      N40-28 (FE) - Body ground
      U61-3 - Body ground

  3. INSPECT FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the fuel sender gauge assembly.


      1. for 2GR-FXE (w/ Canister Pump Module) Click here.

      3. for 2AR-FSE Click here.

    2. Inspect the fuel sender gauge assembly.

    1. Remove the fuel suction plate sub-assembly.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    2. Inspect the No. 2 fuel sender gauge assembly.
