METER / GAUGE SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK


  1. INSPECT INDICATOR/WARNING LIGHT


    1. Check the following indicators and warning lights.

      SRS warning light Power switch off → on (IG) Comes on for 6 seconds
      MIL Power switch off → on (IG)
      • Illuminates when engine switch turned on

      • Turns off when engine started

      Charge warning light*5
      EPS warning light

      • EPB*: Electro-mechanical Parking Brake

      • ECB*: Electronically Controlled Brake System

      • *1: w/ Tire Pressure Warning System

      • *2: w/ Automatic High Beam System

      • *3: w/ Pre-crash Safety System

      • *4: w/ AFS (Adaptive Front-lighting System)

      • *5: for Sport Package

  2. INSPECT SPEEDOMETER


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List.

      If the result is not as specified, the speedometer may have a malfunction.

      Note

      Do not use worn, underinflated or overinflated tires as the speedometer reading will be inaccurate.

    5. Check the deflection width of the speedometer indicator.

    6. INSPECT TACHOMETER


      1. Connect a tune-up tachometer and start the engine.

      2. Compare the test results with the tachometer indicator.

        DC 13.5 V at 25°C (77°F)

    7. Standard Indication

      Acceptable Range

      Data in ( ) is for Reference

      700 rpm 630 to 770 rpm
      1000 rpm (900 to 1100 rpm)
      2000 rpm (1850 to 2150 rpm)
      3000 rpm 2800 to 3200 rpm
      4000 rpm (3800 to 4200 rpm)
      5000 rpm 4800 to 5200 rpm
      6000 rpm (5750 to 6250 rpm)
      7000 rpm 6700 to 7300 rpm
      8000 rpm (7700 to 8300 rpm)

If the result is not as specified, the tachometer may have a malfunction.

  • INSPECT METER/GAUGE


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Perform the Active Test Click here.

    3. INSPECT WARNING/INDICATOR LIGHT


      1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

      2. Perform the Active Test Click here.

    4. INSPECT MULTI-INFORMATION DISPLAY


      1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

      2. Perform the Active Test Click here.
