DESCRIPTION

If the telematics transceiver detects an error in communication between itself and the center airbag sensor assembly as a result of a self check, this DTC will be stored.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK FOR DTC (AIRBAG SYSTEM)


    1. Turn the power switch off.

    2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the power switch on (IG) and wait for 20 seconds.

    4. Turn the GTS on.

    5. Check if airbag system DTCs are output.

    1. Replace the telematics transceiver with a new one.

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER - CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the N169 telematics transceiver connector.

    2. Disconnect the N52 center airbag sensor assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      N169-24 (GSW) - N52-24 (GSW3) Always Below 1 Ω
      N169-24 (GSW) or N52-24 (GSW3) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
