DESCRIPTION

If the electric parking brake is used continuously, the actuator overheat prevention stops the system. If this occurs, the parking brake indicator light (red) blinks and the multi-information display shows the overheat warning.

Both of following conditions are met:


  1. Electric parking brake is operating

  2. Lock and release operations are performed without 2 second interval 10 times; or lock and release operations are performed without 2 second interval 5 times, and target tension is not achieved during lock control

 Parking brake with bracket actuator assembly (overheated)

PROCEDURE


  1. ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE OVERHEAT


    1. With the overheat warning displayed, wait for approximately 1 minute.

    2. Check if the overheat warning has disappeared.

      Tech Tips


      • Check the display after turning the power switch off and on (IG).

      • If the display returns to normal and the electric parking brake can be operated, clear the DTC.
