FRONT BRAKE FLEXIBLE HOSE INSTALLATION

  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL FRONT BRAKE FLEXIBLE HOSE


    1. Install the front brake flexible hose with a new clip.

      Note

      Securely install the clip.

    2. Connect the brake tube to the front brake flexible hose with a union nut wrench while holding the front brake flexible hose with a wrench.

      Torque:
      15 N*m  { 155 kgf*cm, 11 ft.*lbf }

      Note


      • Do not bend or damage the brake tube.

      • Do not allow any foreign matter such as dirt and dust to enter the brake tube from the connecting point.

      • Use the formula to calculate special torque values for situations where a union nut wrench is combined with a torque wrench Click here.

    3. Install a new gasket and connect the flexible hose with the union bolt.

      Torque:
      39 N*m  { 400 kgf*cm, 29 ft.*lbf }

  2. BLEED BRAKE LINE

  3. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL

    Torque:
    103 N*m  { 1050 kgf*cm, 76 ft.*lbf }
