REAR BUMPER INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL REAR BUMPER UPPER RETAINER LH


    1. Attach the 2 clips to install the rear bumper upper retainer.

    2. Attach the clamp of the wire harness.

  2. INSTALL REAR BUMPER UPPER RETAINER RH


    1. Attach the 2 clips to install the rear bumper upper retainer.

  3. INSTALL REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH

  4. INSTALL REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  5. INSTALL REAR BUMPER NO. 2 SIDE SUPPORT LH


    1. Attach the 6 claws to install the rear bumper No. 2 side support.

    2. Attach the 4 clips.

  6. INSTALL REAR BUMPER NO. 2 SIDE SUPPORT RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  7. INSTALL REAR BUMPER LOWER SIDE RETAINER RH


    1. Attach the claw to install the rear bumper lower side retainer.

    2. Install the clip.

  8. INSTALL REAR BUMPER NO. 1 SIDE SUPPORT LH


    1. Install the rear bumper No. 1 side support with the 2 screws.

    2. Install a new grommet.

  9. INSTALL REAR BUMPER NO. 1 SIDE SUPPORT RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  10. INSTALL REAR BUMPER NO. 1 REINFORCEMENT


    1. Install the rear bumper No. 1 reinforcement with the 8 bolts.

      Torque:
      20 N*m  { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

  11. INSTALL REAR BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER


    1. Install the rear bumper energy absorber.

  12. INSTALL REAR BUMPER COVER


    1. w/ LEXUS Parking Assist-sensor System:


      1. Connect the connector of the No. 3 luggage room wire.

    2. Attach the 20 claws to install the rear bumper cover.

    3. Install the 2 screws.

    4. Install the screw, and then install the rear bumper seal bracket.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for both screws and rear bumper seal brackets.

    5. Install the 4 clips and 2 screws.

  13. INSTALL REAR BUMPER NO. 1 PLATE


    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the rear bumper No. 1 plate.

  14. CHECK LEXUS PARKING ASSIST-SENSOR SYSTEM (w/ LEXUS Parking Assist-sensor System)
