FRONT BUMPER(except Sport Package) REASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL NO. 1 MOULDING TAPE

    Tech Tips

    When installing the No. 1 moulding tape, heat the front bumper cover using a heat light.

    Standard
    Item Temperature
    Front Bumper Cover 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

    Note

    Do not heat the front bumper cover excessively.


    1. When using a new front bumper cover:


      1. Clean the surface of a new front bumper cover.

      2. Using a heat light, heat the front bumper cover surface.

    2. When reusing the front bumper cover:


      1. Using a heat light, heat the front bumper cover surface.

      2. Remove the double-sided tape from the front bumper cover.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

      Install 2 new No. 1 moulding tapes.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for both No. 1 moulding tapes.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the front bumper cover.

      2. Remove the peeling paper from the face of the 2 No. 1 moulding tapes.

        Tech Tips

        After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

      3. Align the 2 No. 1 moulding tapes with the mark-off line of the front bumper cover and install it as shown in the illustration

        Tech Tips

        Press the No. 1 moulding tape firmly to install it.

  2. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  3. INSTALL NO. 2 COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT


    1. Install the No. 2 cool air intake duct with the 4 screws.

  4. INSTALL NO. 1 COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the No. 2 cool air intake duct.

  5. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE PROTECTOR


    1. Attach the 16 clips to install the radiator grille protector.

  6. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER EXTENSION MOUNTING BRACKET


    1. for Type A:


      1. Install the front bumper extension mounting bracket with the 2 screws.

    2. for Type B:


      1. Install the front bumper extension mounting bracket with the 2 screws.

    3. for Type C:


      1. Install the front bumper extension mounting bracket with the 2 screws.

  7. INSTALL NO. 2 RADIATOR GRILLE GARNISH


    1. Attach the 4 claws to install the No. 2 radiator grille garnish.

  8. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE GARNISH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the No. 2 radiator grille garnish.

  9. INSTALL FOG LIGHT MOUNTING BRACKET LH


    1. Install the fog light mounting bracket LH with the 4 screws.

  10. INSTALL FOG LIGHT MOUNTING BRACKET RH

  13. INSTALL NO. 2 WASHER BRACKET (w/ Headlight Cleaner System)
