DESCRIPTION

The swing grille actuator assembly receives signals from the air conditioning amplifier assembly via LIN communication.

Note


  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

  • If the swing grille actuator assembly is replaced with a new one, it is necessary to perform "Change Radiator Shutter Control State" Click here.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SWING GRILLE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY - AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY, BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the B11 swing grille actuator assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the N78 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      B11-2 (LIN) - N78-28 (BLIN) Always Below 1 Ω
      B11-4 (GND) - Body ground
      B11-2 (LIN) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      B11-6 (+B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  2. CHECK SWING GRILLE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY


    1. Replace the swing grille actuator assembly with a new or normally functioning one Click here.

    2. Check for DTCs Click here.

      OK
      DTC B14B4 output does not occur.
