ROCKER PANEL MOULDING REASSEMBLY

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL NO. 1 SIDE MUDGUARD PROTECTOR

    Tech Tips

    When installing the No. 1 side mudguard protector, heat the rocker panel moulding LH using a heat light.

    Standard
    Item Temperature
    Rocker Panel Moulding LH 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)

    Note

    Do not heat the rocker panel moulding LH excessively.


    1. Clean the rocker panel moulding LH surface.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the rocker panel moulding LH surface.

      2. Remove the double-sided tape from the rocker panel moulding LH.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

    2. A000OPX

      Install a new No. 1 side mudguard protector.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the rocker panel moulding LH.

      2. Remove the peeling paper from the face of the No. 1 side mudguard protector.

        Tech Tips

        After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

      3. Install the No. 1 side mudguard protector as shown in the illustration.

        Tech Tips

        Press the No. 1 side mudguard protector firmly to install it.

  2. INSTALL NO. 1 SIDE MUDGUARD PROTECTOR

    Tech Tips

    When installing the No. 1 side mudguard protector, heat the body rocker panel moulding using a heat light.

    Body Rocker Panel Moulding 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)

    Note

    Do not heat the body rocker panel moulding excessively.


    1. Clean the body rocker panel moulding surface.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the body rocker panel moulding surface.

      2. Remove the double-sided tape from the body rocker panel moulding.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

    2. A000NNA

      Install a new No. 1 side mudguard protector.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the body rocker panel moulding.

      2. Remove the peeling paper from the face of the No. 1 side mudguard protector.

        Tech Tips

        After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

      3. Install the No. 1 side mudguard protector as shown in the illustration.

        Tech Tips

        Press the No. 1 side mudguard protector firmly to install it.

  3. INSTALL NO. 2 ROCKER PANEL MOULDING PROTECTOR

    Tech Tips

    When installing the No. 2 rocker panel moulding protector, heat the body rocker panel moulding using a heat light.

    Body Rocker Panel Moulding 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)

    Note

    Do not heat the body rocker panel moulding excessively.


    1. Clean the body rocker panel moulding surface.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the body rocker panel moulding surface.

      2. Remove the double-sided tape from the body rocker panel moulding.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

    2. A000PIV

      Install a new No. 2 rocker panel moulding protector.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the body rocker panel moulding.

      2. Remove the peeling paper from the face of the No. 2 rocker panel moulding protector.

        Tech Tips

        After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

      3. Install the No. 2 rocker panel moulding protector as shown in the illustration.

        Tech Tips

        Press the No. 2 rocker panel moulding protector firmly to install it.

  4. INSTALL NO. 2 ROCKER PANEL MOULDING PROTECTOR

    Tech Tips

    When installing the No. 2 rocker panel moulding protector, heat the body rocker panel moulding using a heat light.

    Note

    Do not heat the body rocker panel moulding excessively.


    1. Clean the body rocker panel moulding surface.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the body rocker panel moulding surface.

      2. Remove the double-sided tape from the body rocker panel moulding.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

    2. A000SGU

      Install a new No. 2 rocker panel moulding protector.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the body rocker panel moulding.

      2. Remove the peeling paper from the face of the No. 2 rocker panel moulding protector.

        Tech Tips

        After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

      3. Install the No. 2 rocker panel moulding protector as shown in the illustration.

        Tech Tips

        Press the No. 2 rocker panel moulding protector firmly to install it.

  5. INSTALL NO. 1 ROCKER PANEL MOULDING PROTECTOR

    Tech Tips

    When installing the No. 1 rocker panel moulding protector, heat the rocker panel moulding LH using a heat light.

    1. Clean the rocker panel moulding LH surface.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the rocker panel moulding LH surface.

      2. Remove the double-sided tape from the rocker panel moulding LH.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

    2. Install 2 new No. 1 rocker panel moulding protectors.

      1. Using a heat light, heat the rocker panel moulding LH.

      2. Remove the peeling paper from the face of the No. 1 rocker panel moulding protector.

      3. Align the 2 No. 1 rocker panel moulding protectors with the mark-offline of the rocker panel moulding LH and install it as shown in the illustration.

        Tech Tips

        Press the No. 1 rocker panel moulding protector firmly to install it.
