REAR SHOCK ABSORBER REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE INNER LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER LH

  2. REMOVE REAR WHEEL

  3. REMOVE REAR SUSPENSION ARM COVER

    Click here

  4. DISCONNECT TOE CONTROL LINK SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o DYNAMIC REAR STEERING)

  5. DISCONNECT REAR STEERING LINK ASSEMBLY (w/ DYNAMIC REAR STEERING)

  6. REMOVE ABSORBER CONTROL ACTUATOR

  7. REMOVE REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY

      *2 Jack

      Using a jack and wooden block, jack up the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly.

      Note


      • When jacking up the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly, be sure to jack it up slowly.

      • Do not jack up the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly too high as the vehicle may fall.

      • Make sure to perform this operation with the vehicle kept as low as possible.

    2. A000OLN

      Remove the bolt and nut, and disconnect the rear shock absorber from the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly.

      Note

      Hold the nut and remove the bolt.

    3. A000S28

      Remove the 3 nuts and rear shock absorber from the body.

  8. REMOVE REAR SUSPENSION SUPPORT ASSEMBLY


    1. A000SHR

      Hold the actuator support bracket of the rear shock absorber and remove the nut.

      Note

      Hold the actuator support bracket so as not to deform it.

    2. Remove the actuator support bracket, rear No. 1 shock absorber cushion washer, rear No. 1 shock absorber cushion and rear suspension support assembly from the rear shock absorber.

  9. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SPRING BUMPER


    1. Remove the rear No. 1 spring bumper from the rear shock absorber.
