FRONT STABILIZER BAR INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER BAR

      Install the front stabilizer bar to the vehicle.

      Note

      The identification mark must be on the right side of the vehicle when installing the front stabilizer bar.

  2. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 STABILIZER BAR BUSH

      Install the 2 front No. 1 stabilizer bar bushes outside of the bush stoppers on the front stabilizer bar as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Be sure to install the front No. 1 stabilizer bar bush so that the cutouts face the front of the vehicle.

  3. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 STABILIZER BRACKET LH


    1. A000SQQE01

      While pressing the front No. 1 stabilizer bracket LH against the frame, temporarily install a new bolt (1). Install a new bolt (2), tighten bolt 1, and then install 2 new bolts (3 and 4).

      Torque:
      49 N*m  { 500 kgf*cm, 36 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      The bolts cannot be reused. Always use new bolts.

  4. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 STABILIZER BRACKET RH

    Tech Tips

    Install the RH side following the same procedures as with the LH side.

  5. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 STABILIZER BRACKET LH


    1. A000QGS

      Install the front No. 2 stabilizer bracket LH on the vehicle with 2 new bolts.

      Torque:
      49 N*m  { 500 kgf*cm, 36 ft.*lbf }
  6. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 STABILIZER BRACKET RH

    Tech Tips

    Install the RH side following the same procedures as with the LH side.

  7. INSTALL REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER LH


    1. Install the rear engine under cover LH with the bolt.

  8. INSTALL REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER RH

    Tech Tips

    Install the RH side following the same procedures as with the LH side.

  9. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Install the front stabilizer link assembly LH with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      84 N*m  { 857 kgf*cm, 62 ft.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      If the ball joint turns together with the nut, use a 6 mm hexagon wrench to hold the stud.

  10. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Install the RH side following the same procedures as with the LH side.

  11. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 UPPER SUSPENSION MEMBER
