HYBRID VEHICLE TRANSAXLE UNIT DISASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE TRANSMISSION CONTROL SHAFT LEVER


    1. A000PDI

      Remove the nut, spring washer and transmission control shaft lever from the shift lever position sensor.

  2. REMOVE TRANSMISSION CONTROL ROD GROMMET

      *1 Spacer
      *2 Transmission Control Rod Grommet

      Remove the spacer from the transmission control rod grommet.

    2. Remove the transmission control rod grommet from the transmission control shaft lever.

  3. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER POSITION SENSOR

  4. REMOVE ELBOW


    1. A000R9H

      Remove the 2 elbows from the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly.

    2. Remove the 2 O-rings from the 2 elbows.

  5. REMOVE HYBRID VEHICLE TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY TYPE T OIL SEAL

  6. REMOVE FLANGE YOKE ASSEMBLY

  7. REMOVE EXTENSION HOUSING TYPE T OIL SEAL

    Click here

  8. REMOVE TRANSMISSION BREATHER PLUG SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A000QYU

      Remove the transmission breather plug sub-assembly from the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly.

  9. DRAIN HYBRID TRANSMISSION FLUID

    Tech Tips

    Perform this procedure only when removing the transmission oil pan sub-assembly is necessary.


    1. A000O37

      Remove the drain plug and gasket to drain the hybrid transmission fluid.

    2. Install the drain plug and a new gasket to the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly.

      Torque:
      20 N*m  { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

  10. REMOVE TRANSMISSION OIL PAN SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A000O7A

      Remove the 18 bolts, gasket and transmission oil pan sub-assembly from the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly.

    2. A000S8P

      Remove the 2 magnets from the transmission oil pan sub-assembly.

  11. REMOVE OIL COOLER RETURN TUBE


    1. A000RMN

      Remove the oil cooler return tube from the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly.

  12. REMOVE OIL STRAINER ASSEMBLY


    1. A000PHX

      Remove the 3 bolts and oil strainer assembly from the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly.
