Note


  • When replacing the driving support ECU assembly, always replace it with a new one. If a driving support ECU assembly which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the driving support ECU assembly will not match the information from the vehicle. As a result, a DTC may be stored.

  • When replacing the combination meter assembly, make sure to replace it with a new one.

CAUTION:

Observe the following items for safety reasons when using GTS:


  • Before using the GTS, read the instruction GTS.

  • Prevent the GTS cable from being caught on the pedals, shift lever or steering wheel when driving with the GTS connected to the vehicle.

  • When driving the vehicle for testing purposes, 2 people are required. One person should operate the GTS while the other drives the vehicle.

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (METER DISPLAY 1)


    1. Select the Active Test, use the GTS to generate a control command, and then check that the combination meter operates Click here.

  2. READ VALUE USING GTS (SET/COAST SWITCH)


    1. Turn the cruise control system on using the cruise control main switch (ON/OFF).

    2. w/o Full-speed range following function:

      Drive at a speed between approximately 50 km/h (25 mph) and 180 km/h (110 mph).

    3. w/ Full-speed range following function:

      Drive at a speed between approximately 0 km/h (0 mph) and 180 km/h (110 mph)

    4. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS Click here.
