      *3 Master Warning Light

      If one of the conditions listed below occurs while the dynamic radar cruise control system is controlling vehicle speed, the driving support ECU assembly cancels control of vehicle speed by the dynamic radar cruise control system. Then, the following warning indicators will illuminate.

      Constant Speed Control Mode:
      Situation Warning
      Multi-information Display Master Warning Light Cruise Control Indicator Warning Buzzer

        If the following condition occurs, the power management control ECU clears the set vehicle speed and cancels control of vehicle speed by the dynamic radar cruise control system:

      • Open or short in stop light switch circuit


        Fail-safe deactivation condition:

      • Dynamic radar cruise control system is turned off and back on again using the cruise control main switch (ON/OFF).

      		 Cruise Control Malfunction Visit Your Dealer Illuminates Does not illuminate "Pong" warning sound is heard

        If either of the conditions listed below occurs, the power management control ECU clears the set vehicle speed and cancels control of vehicle speed by the dynamic radar cruise control system:

      • Problem with stop light switch input circuit

      • Problem with cruise control main switch cancel circuit

      • Malfunction in the electronically controlled brake system

      • Communication stop between skid control ECU assembly and power management control ECU


        Fail-safe deactivation condition:

      • Power switch is turned off and back on (IG) again.

      		 Cruise Control Malfunction Visit Your Dealer Illuminates Does not illuminate "Pong" warning sound is heard

        If the following condition occurs, the power management control ECU clears the set vehicle speed and cancels control of vehicle speed by the dynamic radar cruise control system:

      • Malfunction in hybrid control system


        Fail-safe deactivation condition:

      • Dynamic radar cruise control system is turned off and back on again using the cruise control main switch (ON/OFF).

      		 - Does not illuminate Illuminates -

        If the following condition occurs, the power management control ECU clears the set vehicle speed and cancels control of vehicle speed by the dynamic radar cruise control system:

      • Vehicle speed is lower than stored speed by approximately 16 km/h (or 10 mph) or more


        Fail-safe deactivation condition:

      • Cruise control main switch is pushed to -/SET

      		 - Does not illuminate Illuminates -

        If the following condition occurs, the power management control ECU cancels control of vehicle speed by the dynamic radar cruise control system while retaining the set vehicle speed in its memory:

      • Vehicle speed is lower than approximately 40 km/h (or 25 mph) while driving with the dynamic radar cruise control system controlling vehicle speed


        Fail-safe deactivation condition:

      • Cruise control main switch is pushed to +/RES

      		 - Does not illuminate Illuminates -

        If any of the conditions listed below occurs, the power management control ECU clears the set vehicle speed and cancels control of vehicle speed by the dynamic radar cruise control system:

      • VSC is performed

      • TRC is performed for a certain period of time

      • VSC is turned off

      • TRC is turned off

      • Electric parking brake is applied


        Fail-safe deactivation condition:

      • Cruise control main switch is pushed to +/RES

      		 - Does not illuminate Illuminates -
      Vehicle-to-vehicle Distance Control Mode:
      Situation Warning
      Multi-information Display Master Warning Light Cruise Control Indicator Warning Buzzer

        If the following condition occurs, the power management control ECU clears the set vehicle speed and cancels control of vehicle speed by the dynamic radar cruise control system:

      • Open or short in stop light switch circuit


        Fail-safe deactivation condition:

      • Dynamic radar cruise control system is turned off and back on again using the cruise control main switch (ON/OFF).

      		 Cruise Control Malfunction Visit Your Dealer Illuminates Does not illuminate "Pong" warning sound is heard

        If the following condition occurs, the power management control ECU clears the set vehicle speed and cancels control of vehicle speed by the dynamic radar cruise control system:

      • Malfunction in hybrid control system


        Fail-safe deactivation condition:

      • Dynamic radar cruise control system is turned off and back on again using the cruise control main switch (ON/OFF).

      		 - Does not illuminate Illuminates -

        If any of the conditions listed below occurs, the power management control ECU clears the set vehicle speed and cancels control of vehicle speed by the dynamic radar cruise control system:

      • Problem with stop light switch input circuit

      • Problem with cruise control main switch cancel circuit

      • Malfunction in the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly

      • Beam axis of millimeter wave radar sensor assembly deviates

      • Malfunction in the electronically controlled brake system

      • The electric parking brake system is malfunctioning*


        Fail-safe deactivation condition:

      • Power switch is turned off and back on (IG) again.

      		 Cruise Control Malfunction Visit Your Dealer Illuminates Illuminates "Pong" warning sound is heard

        If the following condition occurs, the power management control ECU cancels control of vehicle speed by the dynamic radar cruise control system while retaining the set vehicle speed in its memory:

      • There is dirt on millimeter wave radar sensor assembly


        Fail-safe deactivation condition:

      • The condition returns to normal (the resume function can be operated after fail-safe is deactivated).

      		 Radar Cruise Control Unavailable Clean Sensor Illuminates Does not illuminate "Pong" warning sound is heard

        If any of the conditions listed below occurs, the power management control ECU cancels control of vehicle speed by the dynamic radar cruise control system while retaining the set vehicle speed in its memory:

      • Millimeter wave radar sensor assembly sensitivity reduced because of bad weather such as rain, fog, snow, or sandstorm

      • Brake control by the dynamic radar cruise control system is temporarily unavailable

      • The beam axis of the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly is being aligned

      • Malfunction in the forward recognition camera

      • The forward recognition camera is temporarily unavailable


        Fail-safe deactivation condition:

      • The conditions return to normal (the resume function can be operated after fail-safe is deactivated).

      		 Radar Cruise Control Unavailable Illuminates Does not illuminate "Pong" warning sound is heard

        If the following condition occurs, the power management control ECU cancels control of vehicle speed by the dynamic radar cruise control system while retaining the set vehicle speed in its memory:

      • Vehicle speed is lower than approximately 40 km/h (or 25 mph) while driving with the dynamic radar cruise control system controlling vehicle speed

      • A preceding vehicle is not detected when follow-up control is being performed at a vehicle speed of approximately 40 km/h (25 mph) or less*


        Fail-safe deactivation condition:

      • Push the cruise control main switch to +/RES

      		 - Does not illuminate Illuminates -

        If any of the conditions listed below occurs, the power management control ECU clears the set vehicle speed and cancels control of vehicle speed by the dynamic radar cruise control system:

      • VSC is performed

      • TRC is performed for a certain period of time

      • VSC is turned off

      • TRC is turned off

      • Electric parking brake is applied


        Fail-safe deactivation condition:

      • Cruise control main switch is pushed to +/RES

      		 - Does not illuminate Illuminates -

        If any of the following conditions occur while the vehicle stopped, the power management control ECU cancels control of vehicle speed by the dynamic radar cruise control system*:

      • Open or short in stop light switch circuit

      • Malfunction in the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly

      • Beam axis of millimeter wave radar sensor assembly misaligned

      • The electric parking brake system is malfunctioning

      • Problem with stop light switch input circuit

      • Millimeter wave radar sensor assembly sensitivity reduced because of bad weather such as rain, fog, snow, or sandstorm

      • Millimeter wave radar sensor assembly becomes dirty

      • Brake control by the dynamic radar cruise control system is temporarily unavailable

      • The beam axis of the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly is being aligned

      • The forward recognition camera is temporarily unavailable

      • A system check is being performed after the engine has started


        Fail-safe deactivation condition:

      • The conditions return to normal (the resume function can be operated after fail-safe is deactivated)

      		 Cruise Control Fault Press Brake to Deactivate Visit Your Dealer Illuminates Does not illuminate 4 beeps are heard

        If any of the following conditions occur while the vehicle stopped, the power management control ECU cancels control of vehicle speed by the dynamic radar cruise control system*:

      • The driver seat belt is unfastened

      • The driver door is opened

      • The vehicle is parked for a long period of time

      • The vehicle is driving on a steep hill

      • A preceding vehicle is not detected


        Fail-safe deactivation condition:

      • The conditions return to normal (the resume function can be operated after fail-safe is deactivated).
