RADIATOR INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL FAN SHROUD

   
   

   1. Attach the 3 claws on the lower part of the fan shroud to the radiator.

   2. Attach the 3 claws on the upper part of the fan shroud, and then install the fan shroud to the radiator.

2. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Install the 2 radiator support cushions and 2 lower radiator supports to the radiator assembly.

   2. Install the radiator assembly to the vehicle together with the cooling fan assembly.

      Note

      Do not allow the radiator to interfere with other parts.

3. INSTALL COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Attach the 2 guides on the lower part of the cooler condenser assembly to the radiator.

   2. Attach the 2 claws on the upper part of the cooler condenser assembly, and then install the cooler condenser assembly to the radiator.

4. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER (w/ Cover)

5. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT

   
   

   1. Install the upper radiator support with the 5 bolts.

      Torque:

      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

   2. Connect the 5 wire harness clamps and 3 connectors.

6. CONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER (w/ Cover)

   
   

   1. Attach the claw and install the 2 screws to connect the hood lock control cable cover.

7. CONNECT NO. 2 ENGINE ROOM WIRE

   
   

   1. Connect the 6 wire harness clamps, connector and No. 2 engine room wire.

8. CONNECT NO. 2 OIL COOLER OUTLET HOSE

   
   

   1. Connect the No. 2 oil cooler outlet hose to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.

   2. Install a new No. 1 flexible hose clamp to the radiator assembly.

   3. Engage the clamp to connect the No. 2 oil cooler outlet hose to the No. 1 flexible hose clamp.

9. CONNECT NO. 2 OIL COOLER INLET HOSE

   
   

   1. Connect the No. 2 oil cooler inlet hose to the radiator assembly and secure it with the hose clamp.

10. CONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE

    
    

    1. Install a new radiator hose clamp and connect the No. 2 radiator hose to the fan shroud.

    2. Connect the No. 2 radiator hose to the radiator assembly and secure it with the clamp.

11. INSTALL RADIATOR RESERVOIR TANK ASSEMBLY

    
    

    1. Attach the radiator reservoir tank assembly with the 2 claws.

    2. Connect the wire harness clamp.

    3. Connect the reservoir tank outlet hose, secure it with the hose clamp and attach the clamp.

    4. Install the radiator reservoir tank hose, secure it with the 2 hose clamps and attach the clamp.

12. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE

    
    

    1. Install the No. 1 radiator hose and secure it with the 2 clamps.

13. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

15. CONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

    
    

    1. Attach the clamp and connect the hood lock control cable.

16. INSTALL HOOD LOCK RELEASE LEVER PROTECTOR

17. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE

18. ADD ENGINE COOLANT

19. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK

20. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET

21. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER

22. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

23. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL

24. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER
