WATER PUMP REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER

    Click here

  3. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL

    Click here

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET

    Click here

  5. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM

    Click here

  6. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

    Click here

  7. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT

    Click here

  8. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER LH

    Click here

  9. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work Click here.

  10. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  11. REMOVE NO. 1 SEAT ARMREST CAP

  12. REMOVE LOWER HYBRID VEHICLE BATTERY COVER PANEL

    Click here

  13. REMOVE SERVICE PLUG GRIP

    Click here

  14. REMOVE ECM

    Click here

  15. REMOVE FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT

    Click here

  16. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER

    Click here

  17. REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER LH

    Click here

  18. DISCONNECT SUCTION HOSE

    Click here

  19. DISCONNECT NO. 1 COOLER REFRIGERANT DISCHARGE HOSE

    Click here

  20. REMOVE COMPRESSOR WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  21. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT TENSIONER ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  22. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE

    Click here

  23. DISCONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE

    Click here

  24. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER

    Click here

  25. REMOVE INJECTOR DRIVER

    Click here

  26. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE COVER

    Click here

  27. REMOVE WATER PUMP PULLEY

      Using SST, hold the water pump pulley.

      SST
      09960-10010   ( 09962-01000, 09963-00700 )

    2. Remove the 4 bolts and water pump pulley.

  28. REMOVE WATER INLET ASSEMBLY


    1. A000NPU

      Disconnect the 4 hoses.

    2. A000RD0

      Remove the 4 bolts, nut and water inlet assembly.

      *1 No. 1 Water Inlet Housing Gasket
      *2 Water Outlet Pipe O-ring

      Remove the No. 1 water inlet housing gasket and water outlet pipe O-ring.

  29. REMOVE ENGINE WATER PUMP ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 16 bolts, engine water pump and water pump gasket.
