INTAKE MANIFOLD REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER

  2. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL

    Click here

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET

    Click here

  4. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  5. REMOVE INJECTOR DRIVER

    Click here

  6. DISCONNECT INVERTER RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

      Remove the 2 bolts and inverter reserve tank assembly from the No. 1 inverter reserve tank bracket.

  7. REMOVE VACUUM SENSOR ASSEMBLY

  8. REMOVE PURGE VSV

    Click here

  9. DISCONNECT INLET HEATER WATER HOSE A

    Click here

  10. REMOVE OUTLET HEATER WATER HOSE A


    1. Slide the hose clamp, and disconnect the outlet heater water hose A from the heater unit.

      Remove the water hose set from the outlet heater water hose A.

    3. A000OX1

      Slide the hose clamp, and remove the No. 2 water by-pass pipe from the No. 2 water by-pass pipe.

  11. REMOVE NO. 2 EGR PIPE (w/ EGR System)

  12. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD


    1. A000STK

      Detach the clamp to disconnect the fuel tube from the wire harness clamp bracket.

    2. A000SJP

      Disconnect the No. 2 fuel vapor feed hose from the intake manifold.

    3. Slide the clip and disconnect the ventilation hose from the intake manifold.

    4. Detach the clamp to disconnect the ventilation hose from the wire harness clamp bracket.

    5. Detach the 7 wire harness clamps to disconnect the wire harness from the 2 wire harness clamp brackets and intake manifold.

    6. Detach the clamp to disconnect the No. 2 water by-pass hose from the intake manifold.

    7. Remove the 3 bolts and 2 wire harness clamp brackets from the intake manifold.

      Remove the 7 bolts, intake manifold stay and intake manifold.

    9. Remove the gasket from the intake manifold.

  13. REMOVE EGR HOLE COVER PLATE (w/o EGR System)


    1. A000ST7

      Remove the 2 nuts, EGR hole cover plate and EGR inlet gasket from the intake manifold.

  14. REMOVE STUD BOLT

    Note

    If a stud bolt is deformed or its threads are damaged, replace it.


    1. A000RFS

      Using an E6 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 4 stud bolts from the intake manifold.
