PCV VALVE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT PCV VALVE SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Install a clean hose to the PCV valve.

    2. Check the PCV valve operation.

        Blow air into the cylinder head side cover and check that air passes through easily.

        CAUTION:

        Do not suck air through the valve. Petroleum substances inside the valve are hazardous to your health.

        If the result is not as specified, replace the PCV valve sub-assembly.

        Blow air into the intake air surge tank side and check that air passes through with difficulty.

        CAUTION:

        Do not suck air through the valve. Petroleum substances inside the valve are hazardous to your health.

        If the result is not as specified, replace the PCV valve sub-assembly.

    3. Remove the clean hose from the PCV valve.
