RADIATOR INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL FAN SHROUD WITH FAN

   
   

   1. Attach the 3 guides.

   2. Attach the 3 claws and install the fan shroud with fan to the radiator assembly.

      Note

      Do not damage the radiator assembly when installing the fan shroud with fan.

2. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Install the 2 radiator support cushions and 2 lower radiator supports to the radiator assembly.

   2. Install the radiator assembly to the vehicle together with the fan shroud.

      Note

      Do not allow the radiator assembly to interfere with other parts.

3. CONNECT COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Attach the 2 guides.

   2. Attach the 2 claws and connect the cooler condenser assembly to the radiator assembly.

4. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT

   
   

   1. Install the upper radiator support with the 5 bolts.

      Torque:

      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

   2. Attach the 5 wire harness clamps to connect the wire harness to the upper radiator support.

   3. Connect the 3 connectors.

5. CONNECT NO. 2 ENGINE ROOM WIRE

   
   

   1. Attach the 6 wire harness clamps to connect the No. 2 engine room wire.

   2. Connect the cooling fan ECU connector.

6. CONNECT NO. 2 OIL COOLER INLET HOSE

   
   

   1. Connect the No. 2 oil cooler inlet hose to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.

   2. Install a new No. 1 flexible hose clamp to the radiator assembly.

   3. Engage the clamp to connect the No. 2 oil cooler inlet hose to the No. 1 flexible hose clamp.

7. CONNECT NO. 2 OIL COOLER OUTLET HOSE

   
   

   1. Connect the No. 2 oil cooler outlet hose to the radiator assembly, and slide the clamp to secure the hose.

8. CONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Install the No. 2 radiator hose sub-assembly to the fan shroud with the bolt.

      Torque:

      5.0 N*m  { 51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf }

   2. Connect the No. 2 radiator hose sub-assembly to the radiator assembly, and slide the clamp to secure the hose.

   3. Install a new No. 2 radiator hose clamp to No. 2 radiator hose sub-assembly.

   4. Attach the No. 2 radiator hose clamp to connect the No. 2 radiator hose sub-assembly to the fan shroud.

   5. Attach the clamp to connect the reservoir tank outlet hose to the fan shroud.

9. INSTALL RADIATOR RESERVOIR TANK ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Attach the 2 claws to install the radiator reservoir tank assembly to the fan shroud.

   2. Connect the wire harness clamp to the radiator reservoir tank assembly.

   3. Attach the clamp to connect the radiator reservoir hose to the fan shroud.

   4. Install the radiator reservoir hose to the radiator reservoir tank assembly and radiator assembly, and slide the 2 clips to secure the hose.

   5. Connect the reservoir outlet hose to the radiator reservoir tank assembly, and slide the clip to secure the hose.

10. INSTALL RADIATOR HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY

    
    

    1. Install the radiator hose sub-assembly to the water outlet sub-assembly and radiator assembly, and slide the 2 clips to secure the hoses.

11. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

13. CONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

    
    

    1. Attach the clamp to connect the hood lock control cable assembly.

14. INSTALL HOOD LOCK RELEASE LEVER PROTECTOR

15. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP WITH NO. 2 AIR CLEANER HOSE

16. ADD ENGINE COOLANT

17. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK

18. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET

19. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER

20. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

21. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL
