FUEL PUMP DISASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE FUEL SUCTION PLATE SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Note


    • Do not disconnect the hose indicated in the illustration.

    • When replacing the fuel filter assembly, replace it together with the fuel suction plate sub-assembly.


    1. A000SSX

      Disconnect the fuel pump harness from the clamp.

    2. Disconnect the fuel pump harness connector.

      *1 E-Ring

      Using needle nose pliers, remove the E-ring.

    4. Remove the fuel suction plate sub-assembly and spring from the No. 1 fuel sub-tank.

    5. A000RSN

      Using a screwdriver with the tip taped, detach the 2 claws and remove the fuel filter assembly from the No. 1 fuel sub-tank.

      Note

      Do not damage the No. 1 fuel sub-tank or fuel filter assembly.

  3. REMOVE JET PUMP

      Detach the claw and remove the jet pump nozzle.

      Using a clip remover with the tip taped, remove the jet pump from the No. 1 fuel sub-tank.

      *1 Jet Pump
      *2 O-Ring

      Remove the O-ring from the jet pump.

  4. REMOVE FUEL PUMP HARNESS

      Disconnect the fuel pump connector from the fuel pump assembly.

  5. REMOVE NO. 1 FUEL SUCTION SUPPORT

      Detach the 2 claws and remove the No. 1 fuel suction support.

  6. REMOVE FUEL WITH FILTER PUMP ASSEMBLY

      Using a screwdriver with the tip taped, detach the 5 claws and remove the fuel filter assembly from the fuel with filter pump assembly.

      *2 Fuel Pump Spacer

      Remove the O-ring and fuel pump spacer from the fuel with filter pump assembly.
