HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM Pattern Select Switch Snow Mode Circuit

DESCRIPTION

When the combination switch assembly (SNOW mode control) is operated, a SNOW mode control signal is sent to the ECM to control the driving force to improve drivability according to operation of the accelerator pedal when road conditions are slippery, etc.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (CAN BUS CHECK)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Enter the following menus: System Select / CAN Bus Check.

      Result
      Result Proceed to
      All of the ECUs and sensors that are currently connected to the CAN communication system are displayed. A
      None of the ECUs and sensors that are currently connected to the CAN communication system are displayed, or some of them are not displayed. for LHD B
      for RHD C
    4. Turn the power switch off.

  2. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HEALTH CHECK)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Enter the following menus: System Select / Health Check.

    4. Check DTCs.

      Result

      No DTCs are output. A
      DTCs are output. B
    5. Turn the power switch off.

  3. READ VALUE USING GTS (SNOW MODE)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Data List / Snow Mode.

    4. Read the value displayed on the GTS.

  4. INSPECT COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the combination switch assembly Click here.

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      N59-2 (2ND) - N59-4 (GND) Combination switch assembly (Snow mode) being pushed and held Below 10 Ω
      Combination switch assembly (Snow mode) not pushed 10 kΩ or higher
    3. Install the combination switch assembly.

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the connector from the combination switch assembly.

      Disconnect the connector from the combination switch assembly.

    2. Disconnect the connector from the ECM.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A20-11 (SNWI) - N59-2 (2ND) Always Below 1 Ω
      A20-11 (SNWI) or N59-2 (2ND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
    4. Connect the combination switch assembly connector.

    5. Connect the ECM connector.
