| DTC Code | DTC Name |
|---|---|
| P0722-854 | Output Speed Sensor Circuit No Signal |
DESCRIPTION
The transmission revolution sensor (SP2) sends the output shaft rotation speed signal to the power management control ECU.
| DTC No. | INF Code | DTC Detection Condition | Trouble Area |
|---|---|---|---|
| P0722 | 854 | Pulses are not input from the transmission revolution sensor (SP2) to the power management control ECU when the velocity of the vehicle (calculated from the engine speed and MG2 speed) is more than the specified value. |

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT
Tech Tips
Driving at speeds above 25 mph (40 km/h) will make this problem easier to reproduce. There is a possibility that the speed of the vehicle will change rapidly (deceleration may occur) when the DTC is stored. For this reason, it is preferable to use a chassis dynamometer (AWD type) when trying to reproduce this problem.
PROCEDURE
CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR)

CHECK POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU (CHECK WAVEFORM)
| *a | Component with harness connected (Power Management Control ECU) |
Connect an oscilloscope to the power management control ECU terminals specified in the following table, and measure the waveform.
| Item | Contents |
|---|---|
| Terminal | A36-24 (SP2-) - A36-25 (SP2+) |
| Equipment Setting | 2 V/DIV., 2 ms./DIV. |
| Condition | Driving at approximately 34 mph (55 km/h) |
| OK |
