HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM Pattern Select Switch Eco Mode Circuit

DESCRIPTION

When selecting ECO mode, the combination switch assembly operation signal is sent to the air conditioning amplifier assembly. Following this, ECO mode control is activated for the heater and air conditioning system.

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING GTS (CAN BUS CHECK)

   
   

   1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

   2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

   3. Enter the following menus: System Select / CAN Bus Check.

      Result
      Result Proceed to All of the ECUs and sensors that are currently connected to the CAN communication system are displayed. A None of the ECUs and sensors that are currently connected to the CAN communication system are displayed, or some of them are not displayed. for LHD B for RHD C

   4. Turn the power switch off.

2. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HEALTH CHECK)

   
   

   1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

   2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

   3. Enter the following menus: System Select / Health Check.

   4. Check DTCs.

      Result
      Result Proceed to No DTCs are output. A DTCs are output. B

   5. Turn the power switch off.

3. READ VALUE USING GTS (ECO MODE)

   
   

   1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

   2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

   3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Data List / ECO Mode.

   4. Read the value displayed on the GTS.

      Tester Display	Measurement Item/Range	Normal Condition
      ECO Mode	ECO mode transition availability/ ON or OFF	In ECO mode: ON

      Result
      Result Proceed to The GTS display changes according to the combination switch assembly (ECO mode) operation. A The GTS display does not change according to the combination switch assembly (ECO mode) operation. B

   1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

   2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

   3. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Air Conditioner / Data List / ECO Switch.

   4. Read the value displayed on the GTS.

5. INSPECT COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Remove the combination switch assembly Click here.

   2.

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition 8 (ECU) - 4 (GND) Combination switch assembly (ECO mode) being turned and held Below 10 Ω Combination switch assembly (ECO mode) not turned 10 kΩ or higher

   3. Install the combination switch assembly.

6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND)

   
   

   1. Disconnect the N59 combination switch assembly connector.

   2.

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition N59-4 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

   3. Reconnect the N59 combination switch assembly connector.

   REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

   OK

7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY - COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY)

   
   

   1. Disconnect the N78 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.

   2. Disconnect the N59 combination switch assembly connector.

   3.

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition N78-29 (ECOS) - N59-8 (ECU) Always Below 1 Ω N78-29 (ECOS) or N59-8 (ECU) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

   4. Reconnect the N59 combination switch assembly connector.

   5. Reconnect the N78 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.
