Tech Tips

After the repair, clear the DTCs and perform the following procedure to check that DTCs are not output.

  1. Drive the vehicle for approximately 10 minutes according to the freeze frame data items "Vehicle Spd", "Temp of Batt TB1 to TB3", "Inhaling Air Temp", "Ambient Temperature" and "Power Resource IB".

PROCEDURE

  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HYBRID CONTROL)

    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.

    4. Check for DTCs.

  3. CHECK FREEZE FRAME DATA (HYBRID CONTROL)

    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.

    4. Read the freeze frame data of DTC P3000-603.

      Note

Although freeze frame data is recorded before and after a DTC is stored, for this step it is only necessary to read the freeze flame data recorded before "0s" (when the DTC was stored).

  5. READ VALUE USING GTS

    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Data List / "Temp of Batt TB1 to TB3".

    4. According to the display on the GTS, read the Data List and check that the value of each "Temp of Batt TB1 to TB3" is 40°C (104°F) or less.

      Tech Tips

If the value of any of "Temp of Batt TB1 to TB3" is more than 40°C (104°F), turn the power switch off and wait until the values to decrease to 40°C (104°F) or less before continuing this procedure.

    5. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Data List / "Battery Block Vol - V01 to V16".

    6. According to the display on the GTS, read the Data List and check the value of each "Battery Block Vol-V01 to V16" with the power switch on (IG).
