HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM Shift Paddle Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

By operating the transmission shift switch of the steering pad switch assembly, the shift range can be changed and the engine braking power can be selected.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (SPORT UP SHIFT SENS STATE, SPORT DWN SHIFT SENS STATE)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Data List / Sport Up Shift Sens State, Sport Dwn Shift Sens State.

    4. Read the value displayed on the GTS.

    5. Turn the power switch off.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY - POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU)

      Disconnect the N92 power management control ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the N50*1 or T11*2 transmission control switch connector.


      • *1: for LHD

      • *2: for RHD

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below when the paddle shift is moved to each position.

    4. Reconnect the N50*1 or T11*2 transmission control switch connector.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND)

      Disconnect the N31 spiral cable sub-assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N31-2 (ECC) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Reconnect the N31 spiral cable sub-assembly connector.

  4. INSPECT SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the spiral cable sub-assembly Click here.

    2. Set the spiral cable sub-assembly to the center position.

    3. Measure the resistance between the terminals of the spiral cable sub-assembly according to the value(s) in the table below.


      1. After setting the spiral cable sub-assembly to the center position, rotate the spiral cable sub-assembly 2.5 times clockwise and measure the resistance. Then rotate the spiral cable sub-assembly 2.5 times counterclockwise and measure the resistance.

      2. After setting the spiral cable sub-assembly to the center position, rotate the spiral cable sub-assembly 2.5 times clockwise. Then while rotating the spiral cable sub-assembly 5 times counterclockwise, measure the resistance.

        Note

        As the spiral cable sub-assembly may break, do not rotate the spiral cable sub-assembly more than the specified amount.

    4. Install the spiral cable sub-assembly.

    1. Disconnect the z4 steering pad switch assembly connector.
