After confirming that DTC P0A2C-247 or P0A2D-249 is output, use the GTS to check "Motor Temp No1" in the power management control ECU Data List.

Tech Tips

After the repair, clear the DTCs and perform the following procedure to check that DTCs are not output.


  1. Turn the power switch on (IG) and wait for 5 seconds or more.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR)


    1. A000R79C01
      *A for LHD
      *B for RHD

      Check the connection condition of the power management control ECU connectors and the contact pressure of each terminal.

    2. Check the terminals for deformation, and check the connector for water ingress and foreign matter.

      OK
      - The connector is connected securely.
      - The terminals are not deformed and are connected securely.
      - No water or foreign matter in the connector.

  2. READ VALUE USING GTS (MOTOR TEMP NO1)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Data List / Motor Temp No1.

    4. Read the Data List.

    5. Turn the power switch off.

  3. CHECK POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU

      Connect terminals 35 (MMT) and 34 (MMTG) of connector A36 of the power management control ECU.

    2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Data List / Motor Temp No1.

    5. Read the Data List.

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Disconnect the No. 1 engine room relay block and junction block assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance (Check for Open)

    1. Disconnect the No. 1 engine room relay block and junction block assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the power management control ECU connector.
