PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT DRIVE BELT

   
   

   1. Check the drive belt.

2. INSPECT ENGINE OIL

   
   

   1. Inspect the engine oil.

3. REPLACE ENGINE OIL AND OIL FILTER

   
   

   1. Replace the engine oil and oil filter.

4. INSPECT COOLING AND HEATER SYSTEM

   
   

   1. Check that the radiator, condenser are not blocked with leaves, dirt or insects, and clean them if necessary. Also check the hose connection for the installation condition, corrosion, etc.

5. INSPECT ENGINE COOLANT

   
   

   1. Inspect the engine coolant.

6. REPLACE ENGINE COOLANT

   
   

   1. Replace the engine coolant.

7. INSPECT INVERTER COOLANT

   
   

   1. Inspect the inverter coolant.

8. REPLACE INVERTER COOLANT

   
   

   1. Replace the inverter coolant.

9. REPLACE SPARK PLUGS

   
   

   1. Replace the spark plugs.

10. INSPECT AUXILIARY BATTERY (except EUROPE)

    
    

    1. Check the battery.

11. ADD FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM

    
    

    1. for 2AR-FSE, Macao, Iceland, Canary islands, Reunion and China:

       Add fuel injector cleaner to the fuel tank (Refer to the Service Bulletin for the fuel injection cleaner).

    2. for 2GR-FXE, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Panama, Aruba, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Philippines, Iceland, Canary islands, Reunion and China:

       Add fuel injector cleaner to the fuel tank (Refer to the Service Bulletin for the fuel injection cleaner).

12. INSPECT AIR CLEANER FILTER

    
    

    1. Remove the air cleaner filter.

    2. Check that the air cleaner is not excessively dirty. If the air cleaner is excessively dirty, replace the air cleaner filter element.

    3. Clean the air cleaner filter with compressed air.

    4. Reinstall the air filter.

13. INSPECT EXHAUST PIPES AND MOUNTINGS

    
    

    1. Visually check the pipes, hangers and connections for severe corrosion, leaks or damage.

14. INSPECT FUEL TANK CAP GASKET

    
    

    1. Check the fuel tank gasket.

15. REPLACE FUEL FILTER (except EUROPE)

    
    

    1. Replace the fuel filter.

16. INSPECT FUEL LINES, FUEL LINE CONNECTIONS, FUEL TANK VAPOR VENT SYSTEM HOSES AND FUEL TANK BAND

    
    

    1. Visually check the fuel lines and hoses for cracks, leakage, loose connections and deformation. Also, visually check the tank band for looseness.

17. INSPECT CHARCOAL CANISTER (except KOREA)

    
    

    1. Check the charcoal canister.
