FRONT WIPER MOTOR REMOVAL

  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A000SBL

      Remove the nut and the front wiper arm and blade assembly LH.

  2. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH


    1. A000QSY

      Remove the nut and the front wiper arm and blade assembly RH.

  3. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH


    1. A000PIB

      Remove the 2 clips.

    2. Remove the guide and the engine room side cover LH.

  4. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A000T61

      Disengage the claw, and remove the outside windshield moulding from the cowl top ventilator louver sub-assembly.

    2. Remove the 2 clips.

    3. Disengage the 3 claws and 5 guides as shown in the illustration.

    4. Disengage the 10 guides and pull out the cowl top ventilator louver sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

  5. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY


    1. Operate the wiper and stop the windshield wiper motor at the automatic stop position.

    2. A000Q5D

      Disconnect the connector.

    3. Remove the 2 bolts.

      *1 Motor Grommet

      Disengage the motor grommet and remove the windshield wiper motor and link assembly as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the windshield when removing the windshield wiper motor and link assembly.

  6. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY

      *1 Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver, separate the No. 1 rod from the wiper motor pivot as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. A000NZ2

      Using a T30 ''TORX'' socket, remove the 2 bolts and windshield wiper motor.
