HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY(for RHD) REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER

  2. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL

    Click here

  3. REMOVE FRONT FENDER UPPER PROTECTOR RH

      Detach the 3 clips and remove the front fender upper protector RH.

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A000PPR

      Remove the 3 screws.

    2. Detach the 2 claws.

    3. Disconnect the connectors, detach the clamp and remove the No. 1 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly.

  5. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A000Q7N

      Detach the 3 claws.

    2. A000RX0

      Remove the hood lock control lever sub-assembly from the hood lock control cable assembly.

  6. REMOVE HOOD LOCK RELEASE LEVER PROTECTOR


    1. Disconnect the connector and detach the 2 clamps.

    2. A000RSI

      Remove the 2 clips and hood lock release lever protector.

  7. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY


    1. A000ST0

      Remove the 3 bolts.

    2. A000OJR

      Remove the hood lock assembly from the hood lock control cable assembly.

  8. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET (w/ Cover)

  9. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT (w/ Cover)


    1. A000Q4A

      Detach the 2 claws and remove the 2 screws.

    2. Disconnect each connector.

    3. A000R7D

      Remove the 5 bolts and upper radiator support.

  10. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER (w/ Cover)


    1. A000PBW

      Detach the guide and remove the hood lock control cable cover.

  11. REMOVE NO. 2 HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER (w/ Cover)


    1. A000PW2

      Remove the screw.

    2. Detach the claw and remove the No. 2 hood lock control cable cover.

  12. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

      Tie a string to the end of the hood lock control cable assembly as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Use a length of string long enough to pass through the engine compartment.

    2. Detach each clamp, and then pull out the hood lock control cable assembly from the vehicle body.

    3. Untie the string from the hood lock control cable assembly.
