SLIDING ROOF HOUSING REASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL ROOF WIND DEFLECTOR PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Attach the 2 guides as shown in the illustration.

    2. Attach the spring at the 2 locations as shown in the illustration to install the roof wind deflector panel sub-assembly.

      Note

      Make sure that the springs are securely installed.

  2. INSTALL SLIDING ROOF DRIVE CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A000MZZ

      Hold down the roof wind deflector panel sub-assembly.

    2. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, slide the left and right sliding roof drive cable sub-assemblies in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration to install them.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  3. INSTALL REAR ROOF DRIP CHANNEL


    1. Slide the rear roof drip channel as shown in the illustration.

    2. Attach the 2 claws to install the rear roof drip channel.

  4. ADJUST FULLY CLOSED POSITION


    1. Slide the sliding roof drive cable sub-assembly in either direction indicated by the arrows in the illustration and align the alignment marks.

  5. INSTALL SUNSHADE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Insert the sunshade trim sub-assembly into the sliding roof housing sub-assembly.

    2. Attach the 2 guides to install the sliding roof piece LH and RH.

    3. Install the 2 screws.

  6. INSTALL SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }

    2. Attach the guide and pin.

    3. Attach the claw to install the map light bracket.

  7. TEMPORARILY INSTALL SLIDING ROOF HOUSING FRONT MOUNTING BRACKET LH


    1. Temporarily install the sliding roof housing front mounting bracket LH with the bolt.

  8. TEMPORARILY INSTALL SLIDING ROOF HOUSING FRONT MOUNTING BRACKET RH

    Use the same procedures described for the LH side.
