SLIDING ROOF HOUSING DISASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF HOUSING FRONT MOUNTING BRACKET LH


    1. A000OS1

      Remove the bolt and sliding roof housing front mounting bracket LH.

  2. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF HOUSING FRONT MOUNTING BRACKET RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

  3. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Detach the claw.

    2. Detach the guide and pin, and remove the map light bracket.

    3. A000SBH

      Remove the 2 bolts and sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly.

  4. REMOVE SUNSHADE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Detach the guide and remove the sliding roof piece LH and RH.

    3. Slide and remove the sunshade trim sub-assembly.

  5. REMOVE REAR ROOF DRIP CHANNEL


    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and slide the rear roof drip channel rearward to remove it.

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  6. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Note

    Do not disassemble the sliding roof drive cable sub-assembly except when replacing it.


    1. A000MZZ

      Hold down the roof wind deflector panel sub-assembly.

    2. Using a screwdriver, slide the sliding roof drive cable sub-assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration to remove it.

      • Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

      • Use the same procedure for the other sliding roof drive cable sub-assembly.

  7. REMOVE ROOF WIND DEFLECTOR PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Pull the spring as shown in the illustration to detach it at the 2 locations.

    2. Pull the roof wind deflector panel sub-assembly as shown in the illustration to detach the 2 guides and remove the panel.
