COMPRESSOR(for 2AR-FSE) REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER

  2. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL

    Click here

  3. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM


    1. for HFC-134a(R134a):

      Click here

    2. for HFO-1234yf(R1234yf):

      Click here

  4. REMOVE SERVICE PLUG GRIP

    Click here

  5. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER

    Click here

  6. REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER LH

    Click here

  7. DISCONNECT SUCTION HOSE


    1. A000SIP

      Remove the bolt and disconnect the suction hose from the compressor with motor assembly.

    2. Remove the O-ring from the suction hose.

      Note

      Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering them.

  8. DISCONNECT NO. 1 COOLER REFRIGERANT DISCHARGE HOSE


    1. A000RZR

      Remove the bolt and disconnect the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose from the compressor with motor assembly.

    2. Remove the O-ring from the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose.

      Note

      Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering them.

  9. DISCONNECT NO. 1 HYBRID WATER PUMP OUTLET PIPE


    1. A000NEP

      Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the No. 1 hybrid water outlet pipe from the engine.

  10. REMOVE COMPRESSOR WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY


    1. Disconnect the motor control connector.

      *1 Connector Lock

      Disconnect the motor drive connector.


      1. Using a screwdriver, pull out the connector lock shown in the illustration.

      2. Push the release button and disconnect the connector.

        CAUTION:

        Make sure to wear insulating gloves.

        Note

        Insulate the removed terminals and connector with insulating tape.

    3. A000SJQ

      Remove the 2 bolts and nut.

    4. A000SUG

      Using an E8 ''TORX'' socket wrench, remove the stud bolt and compressor with motor assembly.
