VEHICLE PROXIMITY NOTIFICATION SYSTEM Vehicle Approaching Speaker Switch Indicator does not Illuminate or Turn OFF

DESCRIPTION

When the integration control and panel assembly (vehicle approaching speaker switch) is turned on (sound stopped), the vehicle approaching speaker controller receives a proximity sound paise signal and illuminates the integration control and panel assembly (vehicle approaching speaker switch) indicator.

  2. INSPECT INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL ASSEMBLY (VEHICLE APPROACHING SPEAKER SWITCH)


    1. Remove the integration control and panel assembly (vehicle approaching speaker switch) Click here.

    2. Inspect the integration control and panel assembly (vehicle approaching speaker switch) Click here.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (VEHICLE APPROACHING SPEAKER CONTROLLER - INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the T55 vehicle approaching speaker controller connector.

    2. Disconnect the N6 integration control and panel assembly (vehicle approaching speaker switch) connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      T55-10 (IND) - N6-3 (IND) Always Below 1 Ω
      T55-10 (IND) or N6-3 (IND - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
