PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT VEHICLE APPROACHING SPEAKER SWITCH

      Component without harness connected

      (Vehicle Approaching Speaker Switch)

      Remove the vehicle approaching speaker switch.

      Click here

    2. Check the resistance.


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
        6 (IG) - 9 (ECU) Switch off 10 kΩ or higher
        Switch on Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the vehicle approaching speaker switch.

    3. Inspect the illumination operation.


      1. Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the vehicle approaching speaker switch connector, and check that the vehicle approaching speaker switch indicator and LED illuminates.

        Measurement Condition Specified Condition

        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → 6 (IG)

        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → 10 (IND)

        		 Indicator illuminates

        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → 8 (ILL+)

        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → 7 (ILL-)

        		 LED illuminates

        If the result is not as specified, replace the vehicle approaching speaker switch.
